DELTA PETROLEUM CORPORATION ANNOUNCES RELOCATION OF CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS

DENVER, Colorado (December 8, 2004) -- Delta Petroleum Corporation (NASDAQ: DPTR); (FRANKFURT STOCK EXCHANGE: DPE), an independent energy exploration and development company, today announced that its corporate headquarters are being relocated to 370 Seventeenth Street, Suite 4300 (Republic Plaza Building) in downtown Denver, Colorado.

The Company’s offices will close at noon (MST) on Friday, December 10, 2004, in order to facilitate the relocation.

The current phone number (303-293-9133) and the current fax number (303-298-8251) will remain unchanged. Normal business hours will continue Monday morning, December 13, 2004.
