Delta Petroleum Corporation is a Denver, Colorado based independent energy company engaged in the exploration for, and the acquisition, development, and production of natural gas and crude oil. Our core areas of operation include the Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain regions. We have significant leaseholds in the Columbia River Basin in eastern Washington, which is a prospective frontier resource province. Recently, we have divested of a number of non-core properties in order to increase focus our core areas of development. Delta’s strategy is to grow its proved reserves and production via development drilling and acquisitions. Our core areas are generally characterized by high working interest and operational control. Our Gulf Coast core area consists of conventional oil and gas reservoirs, primarily in Texas . These reservoirs typically have higher initial production rates than our Rocky Mountain properties. Our Rocky Mountain core area focuses upon non-conventional tight gas sands. These reservoirs tend to be very long lived with shallow ultimate decline rates. We have a technical team with specific skills and experience in our core areas of operation.
